I’m Damian Villarreal, a computer science student at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, interested in cybersecurity, cloud, and artificial intelligence.
What I’m working on
Right now, I’m building projects and studying for the following certifications that I am scheduled to sit in for:
- SC-500: Implementing End-to-End Security Controls for Cloud and AI Workloads (beta) (August 6)
- SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (August 12)
- SAP-C02: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (August 27)
My non-profit
I run a non-profit organization called the Vaquero Information Security Initiative! We started as a student organization, and we’ve grown into an official 501(c)(3) non-profit. We help students build practical skills, experience, make connections, and give back to our local communities.
